Founder: Rich Magaña | Motto: “Limp Wrist, Raised Fist”

In a world where cannabis culture meets unapologetic activism, Queer in Cannabis (QIC) stands tall as a vibrant and inclusive collective dedicated to amplifying LGBTQIA+ voices within the cannabis space. Founded by Rich Magaña, QIC is more than a brand—it’s a movement rooted in community, education, and fierce advocacy.

QIC honors the LGBTQIA+ advocates and trailBLAZERS who’ve paved the way in both cannabis and queer rights. It’s a space where stories are told, history is preserved, and safe, welcoming environments are cultivated—both literally and figuratively.

Our Mission

At Queer in Cannabis, our mission is clear:

  • Educate the cannabis community on LGBTQIA+ history and contributions
  • Advocate for marginalized voices both inside and outside the dispensary
  • Create and maintain safe, inclusive spaces for the queer+ community

Giving Back in 2025: Regional & National Impact

Regional Focus

QIC believes true change starts locally. This year, we’re supporting:

  • Worcester Pride
  • Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC)

Both organizations are pillars of the local LGBTQIA+ community, but like many grassroots movements, they face major challenges due to underfunding from traditional donors. QIC is stepping up to help.

National Focus

To amplify our reach, we’re supporting:

  • The Trevor Project, fighting to end suicide among LGBTQIA+ youth
  • Advocates for Trans Equality, a trans-led nonprofit breaking legal and policy barriers

✊🏽 Words from the Founder

“My motto I live by in life is: Limp Wrist, Raised Fist.” – Rich Magaña

Rich’s vision is bold, defiant, and rooted in love. That energy fuels everything Queer in Cannabis stands for—from advocacy work to community engagement and beyond.

🤝 Join the Movement

With your support, Queer in Cannabis can:

  • Expand local engagement
  • Support policy change and protections for LGBTQIA+ individuals
  • Continue building safe, thriving spaces for our queer+ family, friends, and colleagues
